When in Berlin, the best way to see the city is to take one of the many walking tours available in the city. Most tours will take you down Unter den Linden through Museum Island, to the location of Hitler’s Bunker and more.

Be sure to check the weather forecast to take your tour on a mild day, as the tours take place rain or shine, so the 4 kilometer walk through east Berlin may not always be comfortable ( either quite cold in winter or fairly hot in the summer ) but it is still well worth it.

In 4 hours you will visit the sites below and learn a great deal about the city’s mixed history of greatness and tougher times of separation, along with more than few tales of heroism. You will also be able to pick some of the spots and get feedback from the guide in terms of what the top sites are to visit on your own time.
